I have been successfully preparing
students of all ages for
their school classes in mathematics and the sciences since 2000. Some
of my
students have been very bright and some have had learning problems. I enjoy working with them all and getting to
know my students. My students have mastered subjects like: math,
algebra,
geometry, chemistry, science and more. I
think it is important for students to learn the basics
and how to solve
problems.
I
have tutored elementary level students via the Internet in
the far reaches of Alaska training them in math, reading, and grammar. I have tutored students at their homes in
the Memphis area in the No Child Left Behind program with Club Z and A
to Z
In-Home tutoring. This was in the areas
of math, reading, and grammar.
I have successfully tutored high school students in the
following subjects: Algebra I & II, Geometry, Chemistry, Biology,
and
Science. I have also helped people pass
the SAT, military entrance exams, and obtain their GED.

I have
teaching experience in high school geometry, algebra,
science, biology, and chemistry as well as college teaching of
Electronic
Communications, Technical Physics, Algebra, and Industrial Psychology. I have trained students in Computer Service
at the Memphis Job Corps Center.
In
recent years I have been training retired people in the
use of their PCs.
I
have a Bachelor of Science from the University of
Charleston in West Virginia and completed my teacher certification in
math and
science at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota on the
master’s
level. I did certification in technology in Mississippi while teaching
Electronic Communications.
I
have completed classes on the Master’s Level at the
University of Memphis in mathematics, technology, engineering, and
education. I
have also done some work at Harding University studying counseling.
I
have lived here in Collierville for over 20 years. I
am an active member of the Collierville Chamber of Commerce and I am a
member
of Highland Church of Christ. I enjoy Television programs about nature,
science, technology, astronomy, and history. My
hobbies include photography, video, amateur
radio, and gardening
